All OUM students have free access to UpToDate.
UpToDate is an evidence-based clinical decision support tool used by healthcare professionals worldwide. As a student, you can use it to:
Look up current, expert-reviewed summaries on diseases, conditions, and treatments
Understand diagnostic approaches and management options
Access drug information and interaction checkers
Review clinical guidelines and patient education materials
It’s a reliable resource for studying, preparing for exams, and learning how clinicians approach real-world patient care.
In order to access UpToDate you must first access the resource from SIS or Moodle, then register by creating a username and password, which you can use to log in at uptodate.com/online, or on the UpToDate app.
In order to register you must access UpToDate using the link from SIS or Moodle.
In SIS click the "Library" menu in the top navigation bar. In Moodle click the "Linked Sites" menu in the top navigation bar.
After registration you will be able to log in at uptodate.com/online or from the UpToDate mobile app.
After registering, you must access UpToDate from SIS or Moodle at least once every 90 days to keep your registration active.
