This may be caused by a new cookie setting in Firefox. If you are using Firefox please follow the steps below.
To resolve this issue, you will need to add Moodle as an exception to Firefox's Enhanced Tracking Protection, or update your settings in Firefox.
Option 1: Exempt Moodle from Firefox ETP
- Log in to Moodle
- Click the Shield Icon located to the left of the URL address bar
- Locate the "Enhanced Tracking Protection is ON for this site" message
- Toggle the switch OFF for Enhacned Tracking Protection
- The message should change to "Enhanced Tracking Protection is OFF for this site"
Option 2: Update ETP Settings in Firefox
Instructions for PCs
- Click the three vertical lines in the top right corner of the Firefox browser
- Select Options from the menu that appears
- Select Privacy & Security from the menu on the left side of the page
- Under Enhanced Tracking Protection select Standard
- The Strict setting will require a user to exempt Moodle from Firefox ETP.
- Some custom settings will require a user to exempt Moodle from Firefox ETP.
- Click Reload All Tabs or completely close and re-open Firefox to apply the changes
Instructions for Macs
- Click Firefox menu button at top right
- Select Preferences from the menu that appears
- Select Privacy & Security from the menu on the left side of the page
- Under Enhanced Tracking Protection select Standard
- The Strict setting will require a user to exempt Moodle from Firefox ETP.
- Some custom settings will require a user to exempt Moodle from Firefox ETP.
- Click Reload All Tabs or completely close and re-open Firefox to apply the changes
In Edge Browser
Select your tracking prevention level
In Microsoft Edge, select Settings and more > Settings > Privacy, search, and services.
If Tracking prevention is set to On select the appropriate tracking level that is right for you.
Make an exception for OUM Moodle
In Microsoft Edge, select Settings and more > Settings > Privacy, search, and services.
Make sure Tracking prevention is set to On.
Under Tracking prevention, select Exceptions.
Select Add a site, type in the full URL (courses.oum.edu.ws), and then select Add.
Repeat step 4 with the URL oum.zoom.us
You can also create an exception directly from the site.
Go to the site you want to add as an exception for tracking prevention.
Select View site information on the side of the address bar.
Under Tracking prevention, select Off from the drop-down menu.
In Safari
With Safari open, go into Preferences by clicking the "Safari" next to the Apple logo, or by clicking cmd + ,
Open Preferences
Select Privacy
Uncheck Prevent cross-site tracking
In Safari on iPhone or iPad
Go to Settings>Safari
2. Turn off Block All Cookies
